OB Technologist

Location: Racine, WI

OB Technologist performs various direct and indirect patient care activities and tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The OB Technologist possesses the following knowledge , skills, and behaviors including, but not limited to: Ability to perform the role of first scrub on all vaginal, cesarean, and select GYN cases. Application of the principles of asepsis. Knowledge and utilization of basic patient care concepts.

This is a full-time, third shift position, working approximately 36 hours/week between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:30am.

Skills/Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent. CNA/LPN/ORT or related healthcare experience with hospital training program. The OB Technologist will successfully complete an in-house orientation which includes principles and supervised practice in using aseptic technique , identification and cleaning of instruments and location of supplies and equipment utilized in the Labor & Delivery area.
