RN Clinician\Physician Extender Exempt

Location: Racine, WI

Obtain patient history and perform physical assessment of cardiovascular electrophysiology patients within clinic and hospital settings. Including EKG and other lab interpretations, treatment plan development, patient/family teaching and discharge planning under the supervision and in collaboration with the cardiovascular electrophysiologist. Triage patient telephone calls - questions/concerns, offer medical advice, authorize medications and document same in chart. Maintain daily remote and transtelephonic device checks. Maintain patient confidentiality. Support physician and Communicate regularly with clinics, hospitals, state agencies, vendors, other health professionals, etc. to keep ahead of developments in speciality area. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

Masters or Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Accredited University. Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License. Current CPR and ACLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac/electrophysiology experience. Ability to perform device checks independently. Strong communication skills, flexibility, moderate computer proficiency and ability to promote positive interpersonal relations.
