Registered Nurse Infusion Therapy

Location: Racine, WI

The RN candidate must be a team player and collaborate with other infusion therapy team members to comprehensively address the complex needs of our patients. Utilizes the nursing process in the care and management of these patients. Skills to include outstanding assessment, critical thinking skills, outcomes identification, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and IV skills. Collaborates with other team members such as Social Services, Clinical Dietetics, Spiritual Care and Psychology to comprehensively address the complex needs of the patient. Administers antibiotics, monoclonal antibodies, blood transfusions and associated medications to adult and older adult outpatients. The candidate would cross train into medical oncology and also administer chemotherapy and associated medications to adult and older adult oncology/hematology outpatients. Provides nursing support to three medical oncologists.

This is a part-time, 1st shift position working approximately 20 hours/week. This position will require a rotation of weekends and holidays.

Skills/Requirements

Current State of Wisconsin nursing license. Minimum two years inpatient nursing experience preferred within the last five years highly preferred. Extensive experience in care coordination and planning critical. High level assessment skills required for this outpatient environment. Must be a team player and have excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Electronic medical record experience preferred.

Excellent IV skills preferred and experience with accessing implated ports necessary.
