As a member of the patient care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant, with direction from the Registered Nurse, supports the provision of nursing care. The Certified Nursing Assistant has both team member responsibilities, and direct and indirect patient care responsibilities that require judgments, accountability and follow through. Within these responsibilities, the Certified Nursing Assistant accepts delegation, communicates effectively and confidentially, records accurate information, and maintains a safe environment.

•Communicates effectively with patients, families and visitors.
•Helps to support an ethical practice environment.
•Reports changes in patient condition to the RN.
•Participates in problem solving patient care issues with other team members.
•Performs procedures and therapies in the care of the patient.
•Assists the nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
•Documents objective data.
•Maintains a safe environment for the patient, families, staff, and self.

Lakeshore Manor is located in the former St. Luke's Hospital building on the 4th and 5th floors.

This is a part-time position, working 28 hours/week between the hours of 2pm and 10:30pm. This is a benefit-eligible opportunity.

Skills/Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Active Wisconsin Nursing Assistant License.
Previous long term care experience is preferred.
Ability to organize and communication effectively in a fast-paced environment.
CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
