Phlebotomist

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Lab Supervisor/Outreach Services Supervisor/Processing Supervisor. Will perform phlebotomy ancillary duties in support of the clinical/technical laboratory function and simple, routine laboratory procedures as instructed or directed

Skills/Requirements

THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION -20 HOURS A WEEK

High School or Equivalent (GED) plus
specialized training
Certification/Licensure Required for Job: Phlebotomy certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills:
1. Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory department functions preferred.
2. Prefer individual familiar with and able to operate various types of equipment including, but not limited to: typewriter, photo duplicator machine, fax machine, laboratory and/or hospital computer system, telephone reception console, and centrifuges.
3. Good communication skills exhibited with all client interactions; both verbal and written.
4. Must be able to work as part of a team with good intradepartmental and inter-departmental cooperation and rapport.
5. Exhibits good conflict resolution skills with peers, supervisors, and employees in the same or other department/sites.
